The Egmont Foundation supports children and young people. We work for all children and all young people; but we place a special focus on the most vulnerable among them.
Our two focus areas are Care and Learning. We are committed to supporting initiatives that generate positive change and value for children and young people, and we act so that good results are disseminated and knowledge is shared.
The Egmont Foundation primarily works in Denmark. However, support is provided in Norway as well in areas where we have specific competences and where we can create synergy between activities in the two countries.
A Commercial Media Company
The charitable activities are only a small part of the Egmont Foundation’s activities. We are responsible for Nordisk Film and TV 2 in Norway, book publishing and Egmont Publishing which publishes over 700 magazines. We are also part owners of a number of other companies e.g. Zentropa, responsible for sales of PlayStation and much more. Egmont is a commercial foundation which generated revenue amounting to EUR 1.6 billion in 2015. We donate over EUR 10 million a year to help improve the lives of children and young people.
